Does Bare Strands offer Student Discounts?
Of course we do! In order to receive the student discount, email us at info@barestrands.com. Student discount request must be in your email subject line, in addition you will need to include a copy of your valid school id. Upon verification, you will receive a coupon code for $20 off each bundle of hair. (maximum $60.00 discount).
This offer can not be combined with any additional discounts, offers, or specials. (Limit one per 60 day period)

How many ounces are in each pack of hair?
Bare Strand Extensions provides a full 4 ounces. of hair in each bundle package and 200 grams in our BARE CLIPS, which is more than other hair suppliers.
Since you receive more hair with Bare Strands and our extensions are double-drawn from top to bottom, you will need less hair for a full head of styling.
How much hair do I need ?
Approximately 7 to 10 ounces of hair is needed for a full sew-in weave.
We recommend 2 packs for 12" to 18" lengths and 3 packs for lengths 20" and longer.
The BARE CLIPS Collection includes a full styling set.
My hair is shedding what do I do?
It is normal to experience some light shedding/fall-out of loose hairs upon receipt and comb through. After you initially wash and dry your Bare Strands Extensions, you should not experience shedding beyond a few strands a day, just like our natural hair.
Please note that cutting the hair weft, may increase shedding. Should you need to cut the weft, we recommend using a weft sealer.
If for some reason, you feel like your Bare Strands Extensions are shedding excessively, please contact us at info@barestrands.com.
Can I color my Bare Strands Extensions?
Yes. Since our extensions are 100% virgin remy hair, they can be colored. We recommend going to a professional stylist for coloring, as the chemical processing will alter the hair's cuticle. We also advise to include a 45 minute deep conditioning after color modifications.
Please note the BARE CLIPS Collection is already colored, we do not recommend additional coloring changes.
Over-processing may damage your hair extensions.
What products should I use on my Bare Strands extensions?
We recommend using styling products sparingly to avoid product build-up and maintain the hair's natural body. Light oils such as argan, jojoba, and avocado are best.
Avoid any alcohol-based products as they tend to promote dryness, which can cause tangling.
Curly textures should be conditioned daily to maintain softness and prevent dryness.
How long will my hair last?
The longevity of your Bare Strands Extensions will depend on your daily upkeep and overall hair care. With proper care and maintenance, your extensions should last 12 months or longer.
Do you have a retail location for pick-up?
No. At this time, all orders must be made and processed via our online boutique.
Why didn't I receive the exact curl pattern shown in the picture?
Our photos are meant to provide an image that accurately depicts the hair texture, color and quality. Since we only provide natural remy virgin extensions, no two bundles are exactly alike and we are not able to guarantee hair texture or color. We will make every effort to honor any specific requests made during the order process related to texture and color.
